SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Following its record-setting 2015 regular season, the Samford University soccer team was honored in a huge way Tuesday as a school-record 10 members of the Bulldogs' first-place program received postseason All-Southern Conference honors, it was announced by the league office.
The SoCon's 10 head coaches voted on a pair of all-conference teams, an all-freshman team and four individual awards. They were not allowed to vote for themselves or their players.
The all-conference first and second teams include 11 players each, voted on by position, while the all-freshman team consists of 11 players with no consideration for positions.

Todd Yelton was named the conference's Coach of the Year for a second straight season, while junior
Olivia Cole earned the league's Defensive Player of the Year award. The Bulldogs finished SoCon play with a near-perfect 8-1 record and earned the regular-season championship for a second year in a row.
Samford's Yelton received his fifth Coach of the Year honor Tuesday. Yelton, the all-time winningest coach in Bulldog history with 175 victories at Samford, now owns a 215-109-36 record throughout his illustrious 18-year career.
The Bulldogs own a 14-5 overall record this season and have now reached at least the 12-win plateau in 10 of Yelton's 14 years at the helm.
Cole anchored Samford's defensive back line that set the conference's all-time record by only allowing one goal in league play. The Bulldogs outscored their opponents, 21-1, in SoCon action this season and have only allowed a total of 14 goals in 2015.
Samford's junior defender from Orlando, Florida, helped Samford post 10 shutouts on the season and set a school record with 763 consecutive scoreless minutes spanning 10 matches. Cole has also contributed on the offensive end, notching a career-high three goals and an assist for a career-high seven points on the year.

Malcanisha Kelley earned the honor as forward, while junior
Taylor Borman received the accolades as a midfielder. Kelley is the school's record-holder in both career goals (27) and single-season goals (12).
Borman, the Bulldogs' dynamic native of Georgetown, Kentucky, has scored four goals and added 10 assists this season.

Alissa Hansen, as well as sophomore goalkeeper
Anna Maddox. Maddox boasts a brilliant 0.60 goals-against average this season and holds a 7-1 record as a starter in 2015.
A pair of Bulldogs earned second-team All-SoCon accolades Tuesday in junior forward
Jermaine Seoposenwe and junior midfielder
Anna Allen. Seoposenwe is currently ranked seventh in the nation with 11 assists this season, while Allen scored Samford's game-winning goal in Saturday's SoCon Tournament quarterfinal victory against VMI.
Both Seoposenwe and Allen were named to the Preseason All-SoCon team to begin the 2015 campaign.
For a third consecutive season, the Bulldogs boasted two players named to the All-SoCon Freshman team. Samford's
Ella Baggett and
Kaitlyn Orman were honored with the distinction Tuesday. Baggett has scored two goals and added a trio of assists this season, while Orman has notched three goals and handed out a pair of assists.
ETSU's Sarah Zadrazil was named the SoCon Player of the Year. She scored 21 points on seven goals and seven assists this season, all of which rank third in the league, in just 15 matches played. Zadrazil also leads the SoCon with six game-winning goals this season and is the active NCAA Division I leader in career assists per game (0.69).
UNCG's Caylin Prillaman became the Spartans' seventh freshman of the year and first since Tabitha Padgett took the honor in 2009. The rookie from High Point, North Carolina, is second on the squad in both goals (five) and points (12) and has notched a pair of game-winning goals this year.
Samford, Furman, UNCG and Mercer, the top four seeds, respectively, have advanced to the semifinals of the SoCon Tournament, which will take place at Furman's Stone Soccer Stadium on Friday, starting at 4 p.m. (CST). Both matches will appear live on the SoCon Digital Network. The championship match will take place Sunday at noon and will be broadcast live on ESPN3.
The Samford University soccer team will next be in action Friday at 4 p.m., as the Bulldogs square off against the No. 4 seeded Mercer Bears in the semifinal round of the SoCon Tournament to be held at Furman University's Stone Soccer Stadium in Greenville, South Carolina.
Earlier this season, Samford tallied a hard-fought 1-0 win at Mercer on Oct. 4.
