FINAL RESULTS
PINEHURST, N.C.—The Samford women's golf team finished fifth after the final round of the Pinehurst Challenge, played Tuesday at Pinehurst No. 1 (Par 72, 5,974 yards).

Samford finished the tournament with a three-day score of 888 (302-281-305) to finish fifth out of 18 teams. East Carolina won the event with a score of 861 (295-277-289). Auburn came in second at 868 (288-294-286).

Individually for Samford, sophomore Madeline Davis tied for 10th with a three-round score of 220 (76-69-75). Sophomore Anna Buchanan tied for 29th with a final score of 223 (72-71-80).

Senior Haley Harrington (77-71-76) and freshman Hallianne Hobson (77-70-77) both tied for 31st with identical scores of 224. Junior Kate Collom finished in a tie for 71st at 233 (83-73-77).

Lisa Pettersson of East Carolina earned individual medalist honors with a score of 208 (72-65-71). Kelli Murphy of Auburn came in second at 209 (65-73-71).

Samford will return to action Oct. 17-18, when the Bulldogs compete in the Memphis Women's Fall Intercollegiate.
