2016 Volleyball Championship

The 2016 Southern Conference Volleyball Championship will be hosted by Samford on Nov. 19-21, as the tournament heads to Birmingham, Ala., for the first time since 2011 and just the second time overall. The host Bulldogs won the tournament in 2011 before adding their second title in 2014. Furman is the defending champion.
The second-seeded Paladins earned the 2015 SoCon volleyball title by sweeping top-seeded Chattanooga (25-16, 25-20, 27-25) at the Ramsey Center on the campus of Western Carolina in Cullowhee, N.C. With the win, the Paladins earned the program’s third conference title.
