Samford Athletics Hall of Fame Nomination Form
Samford Athletics is proud to have established our Athletics Hall of Fame, which was unveiled in Spring 2017. We would like for you to be a part of the process by nominating potential inductees. Please fill out this form with information on anyone you would like to nominate. One form per nominee please. Below are descriptions of each of the categories in which nominees can be placed.
NOMINEE CATEGORIES (Please select all that apply)
- Student-Athlete: Must have played on a varsity team in an NCAA sanctioned sport at Samford/Howard and be at least five years removed from his/her last year of competition. Additional consideration is given to the student-athlete’s post graduate achievements, contributions to Samford University and the manner in which the individual has represented Samford.
- Team: Must have competed in an NCAA sanctioned sport on a varsity team at Samford/Howard and be at least five years removed from the team’s last year of competition. Team’s accomplishments brought significant recognition and honor to Samford by virtue of a special achievement or championship season.
- Coach: Must be a current or former coach of an NCAA sanctioned sport at Samford/Howard. Made significant contributions to the tradition of excellence in the Samford athletics program as a coach, was an award winner or coached a play-off or championship team.
- Contributor: An administrator, alumnus or other individual who made significant contributions to the success of Samford athletics through works and service. Financial contributions may be considered but will not be the sole reason for selection of an individual.
