BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The Samford women's tennis team dropped their third home match Saturday to the Fighting Knights of Lynn University. It is the fourth loss of the season for the Bulldog women who fall to 12-4, 8-0 OVC.
The Fighting Knights swept the doubles point from the Bulldogs, and Samford was only able to come away with two singles wins. Anna Jackson took down Lynn's No. 1 player in a 7-5, 7-5 match, while Bethany Benson defeated Dombrowski at the No. 6 position in match that was decided in a tiebreak.
The Bulldogs will play their last home match on this Tuesday against the University of Auburn-Montgomery. Match play begins at 1:30 p.m. at the Pat M. Courington Tennis Pavilion on the west side of the Samford campus.
