BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – An estimated 40-50 Samford student-athletes visited Charles Brown Elementary School in Birmingham for a Christmas party Friday afternoon.

The student-athletes spent time with the estimated 300 to 400 students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade at Charles Brown. The athletes worked with the kids at different stations, including crafts, reading and an athletic station that included a slide.

In addition to getting to meet and spend time with the Samford student-athletes, the kids were visited by Santa and an elf. The students also were given cookies at the event.
