SAAC Holds Christmas Party At Cornerstone

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Samford's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) held a Christmas party for students at Birmingham's Cornerstone Elementary Friday morning.

Ellie Gerlach, from Samford's women's tennis team helped organize the event, along with the administration at Cornerstone.

Samford student-athletes raised over $600 to fund the party. Over 90 student-athletes assisted with the event, the largest turnout since the initiative was started in 2009. This year's event marks the third-straight at Cornerstone.

The Samford student-athletes worked with the Cornerstone students as they did crafts, read stories, provided cookies, played games and had fun on a slide!
