FINAL RESULTS
POOLER, Ga.—The Samford University women's golf team wrapped up the 2015-16 season with a fifth-place finish at the Southern Conference Championship, held Sunday and Monday at the Savannah Quarters Country Club (par 72, 6,087 yards).

The teams played a single round Sunday, and then played two rounds on Monday due to expected inclement weather in the area for Tuesday.

Samford finished the tournament with a three-round score of 937 (319-307-311), putting the Bulldogs in fifth place in the nine-team event. Furman won the SoCon title with a total score of 875 (298-285-292).

Chattanooga placed second in the event with a three-round score of 889 (301-291-297). East Tennessee State placed third at 897 (305-295-297), while Mercer finished fourth at 914 (325-287-302).

Individually, Samford was led by freshman Emily Uhland, placing 13th in the 45-player field with a score of 228 (76-77-75). Junior Haley Harrington tied for 23rd with a three-round total of 237 (85-74-78). Redshirt freshman Madeline Davis tied with Harrington for 23rd at 237 (84-75-78).

Freshman Anna Buchanan tied for 27th with a total score of 241 (76-85-80). Sophomore Kate Collom finished in a tie for 32nd after firing a three-round total of 244 (83-81-80).

Furman's Alice Chen and Chattanooga's Megan Woods tied for first overall with identical scores of 218. Woods, however, defeated Chen on the fifth playoff hole to earn individual medalist honors.

Furman's Taylor Totland and Haylee Harford tied for third place in the event with scores of 219. Emily McLennan of Chattanooga, Linda Dobele of ETSU and Valentina Romero of Furman finished in a three-way tie for fifth place at 221.
