GLENCOE, Ala. – The Samford women's golf team tied for fourth after the final round of the Chris Banister Classic, hosted Tuesday morning by Jacksonville State University at the Robert Trent Jones Silver Lakes Golf Course (par 72, 5,943 yards).

Samford finished the tournament with a three-day score of 935 (304-310-321). Murray State won the event, with a final score of 887 (294-297-296). UAB finished second at 905 (302-305-298), while Tennessee Tech came in third at 928 (311-303-314). South Alabama tied Samford for fourth at 935 (315-307-313).

Individually for Samford, sophomore Anna Buchanan finished 12th in the 50-player field with a three-day score of 229 (77-73-79). Sophomore Madeline Davis tied for 20th at 235 (76-80-79).

Junior Kate Collom (76-79-82) and senior Haley Harrington (75-78-84) both tied for 26th with three-day scores of 237. Freshman Hallianne Hobson (82-83-81) and sophomore Crockett Floyd (79-85-82), who was playing as an individual, both tied for 39th at 246.

Moa Folke of Murray State earned individual medalist honors, finishing with a three-round score of 215 (71-74-70). Syndey Snodgrass of UAB came in second at 220 (74-74-72).

Samford will return to action Oct. 10-11, when the Bulldogs compete in the Pinehurst Challenge in Pinehurst, N.C. Â
