BOULDER, Colo. – The Samford women's basketball team dropped an 81-39 decision at Colorado Thursday night at the CU Events Center.

With the loss, Samford falls to 4-9 on the season. Colorado improves to 10-1 with the victory.

Paige Serup and Ta'Naisha Hill shared the team lead with nine points each.
Katie Allen added five points for the Bulldogs.
Emma Clarke led Colorado with 12 points.
Peanut Tuitele posted a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

The game was tight early until, with Colorado leading, 14-10, the Buffaloes went on a 7-0 run to push their lead to 21-10 with 3:03 left in the first quarter.
At the end of the first quarter, Colorado held a 24-11 advantage.
Colorado pushed its lead to 32-13 early in the second quarter.
Three-pointers by Samford's Serup, Katie Allen and Hill cut the lead to 32-22 with 2:38 left in the second period.
Colorado scored five of the final seven points to push its lead to 37-24 at halftime.
With Samford trailing, 39-26 early in the third quarter, Colorado closed the period with a 16-1 run to take a 55-27 lead at the end of the quarter.
Colorado built as much as a 43-point lead in the fourth quarter and finished with an 81-39 win.

Samford will next play on Dec. 28, when the Bulldogs play at Vanderbilt. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start from Vanderbilt's Memorial Gymnasium.
