BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford men's and women's track and field teams competed in the South Alabama Invite Sunday at the Birmingham CrossPlex, with a total of four Bulldogs placing in the top three of their respective events and five Samford student-athletes posting personal bests.
In the men's mile,
Benjamin Garner won the event with a personal best time of 4:08.35.
Jed Sisco tied for second in the men's pole vault at 5.07 meters.
Seth Wolfe came in third in the men's weight throw at 19.25 meters, while
Justin Stuckey placed third in the men's high jump with a leap of 2.13 meters.
Harrison Siegel (1:54.18) and
Caleb Scheffler (1:55.64) both posted personal bests in the men's 800-meter run. In the women's long jump,
Mia Milasinovic (5.08m) and
Savannah Schmidt (4.90m) both tallied personal bests.
Samford will host the Bulldog Invite on Feb. 11-12 and the Bulldog Open on Feb. 12, both at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
