STARKVILLE, Miss. – The Samford men's and women's track and field teams competed in the Bulldog Relays, hosted by Mississippi State University, Thursday through Saturday at the Mike Sanders Track Complex.
 
Samford student-athletes posted top three finishes in eight events for the men's team and nine events for the women's team. Samford representatives won two events. Ashley Walker won the women's 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:08.44. McKenzie Hogue took top honors in the women's 1,500-meter run, running the race in 4:33.96. Additionally, Alex Webb set a new program record in the women's javelin, placing second with a throw of 48.66 meters.
 
Samford will next compete in the UAB Multi/Invite, April 7-9 in Birmingham.
