TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alex Webb set a program record in the women's javelin throw, and two Bulldogs placed in the top three of their respective events at the Crimson Tide Invite, hosted by the University of Alabama, Friday and Saturday.
Webb set a school record in the women's javelin throw with a toss of 50.52 meters, placing seventh in the event. In the men's pole vault,
Jed Sisco placed second with a personal best vault of 5.25 meters.
Kaelyn McCann came in third in the women's pole vault at 3.77 meters.
Samford will host the 2022 Southern Conference Championships next weekend, April 30-May 1, at the Samford Track and Soccer Stadium. Day two of the meet will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
