Samford Athletics Announces Greek Cup Challenge

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Samford Athletics will host a Greek Cup Challenge, an attendance challenge for Samford students, the athletics department announced Monday.
This is the second year Samford has hosted the Greek Cup Challenge, with the Greek organization with the highest attendance at the designated event winning the competition. Last year, ATO took home the prize, which was awarded at the final men's basketball game of the season.
This year, the contest has expanded to include several fall sports with check ins at football, soccer and volleyball games in-addition to men's and women's basketball.
Check ins are hosted at a random point in each eligible game on the Samford Sports App. The contest is just now heating up as basketball season is just starting. Several check ins have already been hosted; our current leaders are:
1st –Tri Delta & ATO
2nd – Pi Kappa Phi
3rd – Phi Mu
The winner this year will be awarded with a $2,500 scholarship at the final men's basketball game, along with reserved seating next year in the football student section. Stay tuned for more information throughout the year on current leaders.
