BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The 2023 spring soccer schedule was announced today by Head Coach
Todd Yelton, with the Bulldogs kicking things off with a trip to Oxford to face Ole Miss on Friday.
Â
Samford will play a total of fives games this spring, including two home games on April 1st and April 15th.
The Bulldogs kick off their spring schedule tomorrow, February 24, as they travel to Ole Miss. The Bulldogs and Rebels faced off in the 2022 regular season, when Ole Miss was ranked 12th in the country, and battled to a 0-0 draw. They'll follow that up with a neutral-site game against Lipscomb on March 22, with the site still to be determined, before heading to Georgia State on March 31.
Samford will then play host to both William Carey, the alma mater of Associate Head Coach
Carl Goody, and Vanderbilt, to wrap up the spring slate. Admission to the Samford home games is free.
Â
The Dogs are coming off a season where they finished with a record of 11-4-7 (5-1-3 in SoCon play), earned a ninth-consecutive SoCon regular season championship, and booked a trip to the NCAA Tournament for the third time in four seasons. Samford brings back the majority of its 2022 roster, including All-SoCon performers
Taylor Yount,
Kylie Gazza, and
Whitaker Buchanan.
