Bulldogs Finish Sixth At SoCon Championship

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The Samford women's golf team finished sixth after the final round of the 2023 SoCon Championship, held Sunday through Tuesday at Moss Creek Golf Club (Par 72, 6,036 yards).
As a team, Samford finished with a three-round score of 949 (313-317-319), placing sixth in the nine-team field. Furman won the championship, firing a total score of 894 (297-293-304), with Mercer coming in second at 913 (307-298-308).
Bailey Dunstan (77-80-77) and Kelley Topiwala (79-77-78) shared the Samford individual lead with identical three-round scores of 234. Christian Williams tied for 29th in the 49-player field with a score of 240 (78-80-82). Anika Richards tied for 31st with a score of 241 (79-80-82). Sophie Membrino played the first two rounds, firing rounds of 84 and 92, and Kate Joyner played the final rounds, finishing with an 84.
The 2023 SoCon Championship concludes the 2022-23 season for the Samford women's golf team.
