MURRAY, Ky. – The Samford women's golf team is currently in second place after the first two rounds of the Jan Weaver Invitational, hosted by Murray State, Monday at Miller Memorial Golf Course (Par 72, 6,090 yards).
Samford shot a two-round score of 602 (303-299) to place second, just behind Murray State (597) in the seven-team field. The field was rounded out by Eastern Michigan (613), Lindenwood (645), Murray State B-Team (659), Southern Indiana (664) and Tennessee State (700).
Individually for Samford,
Bailey Dunstan sits in second place in the 37-player field with a score of 147 (77-70).
Kelley Topiwala is in third at 149 (74-75).
Allison Dusek (75-78) and
Christian Williams (77-76) are both tied for seventh at 153, while
Sophie Membrino is tied for 13
th with a score of 156 (78-78).
Kate Joyner played as an individual, with her score not counting towards the team score, tying for 15
th at 157 (84-73).
