JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Samford's
McKenzie Hogue competed in the women's 1,500-meter run on the final day of the NCAA East Regional Saturday at the Visit Jax Track at Hodges Stadium.
Hogue placed 23
rd in the race with a time of 4:23.63. Only 12 runners advance to the NCAA Championships, so Hogue was unable to qualify.
Hogue's race wraps up Samford's participation in the NCAA East Regional. Two Bulldogs qualified for the NCAA Championships, which will be held June 7-10 in Austin, Texas. Earlier this week,
Titus Moore qualified in the men's 110-meter hurdles, while
Erin Long qualified in the women's javelin throw.
