Moore Earns Honorable Mention All-America Status

AUSTIN, Texas. – Samford's Titus Moore earned honorable mention All-America honors, competing in the men's 110-meter hurdles Wednesday evening at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by the University of Texas.
 
Moore ran the race in 13.89 seconds, placing him 20th in the event. The top two finishers from each of the three heats, as well as the next three fastest times advanced to Friday's event finals.
 
Moore reached the NCAA Championships with an impressive performance at the NCAA East Regional last month. In that race, he posted a school-record time of 13.70 seconds.
 
The meet wraps up a stellar season for Moore. He won the Southern Conference title in the men's 110-meter hurdles with a time of 13.87 seconds. In the indoor season, he took home the SoCon championship in the men's 60-meter hurdles, running in a time of 7.79 seconds.
 
Samford's Erin Long will compete Thursday in the women's javelin throw. Her event is scheduled for 6:45 p.m.
