Samford Track & Field Finishes Off Split Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – To close out the month of March, the Samford men's and women's track and field teams spent the weekend at the week at the NC State-hosted Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, North Carolina and the Kennesaw State Invitational in Kennesaw, Georgia.

In total, 10 Bulldogs participated in the pair of meets with eight at the Raleigh Relays and two at the Kennesaw State Invitational.

Cagan Campbell was the lone Bulldog to earn a top-three finish for the week as the graduate student did it twice.

In the Men's 200 meters, Campbell won the event with a time of 21.48 seconds. Despite a third-place finish in the Men's 400 meters, Campbell set a school record of 47.60.

Samford will now turn its attention to the Alabama-hosted Alabama Invitational on April 5-6.
