AUBURN, Ala. –  The Samford's men's and Women's track and field teams saw action on Saturday at the Auburn-Hosted Tiger Track Classic. 
 
Due to the meet being cut short due to inclement weather on Saturday, only nine Bulldogs took home top-three finishes in their respective events. 
 
Edie Smith proved to be the Samford student-athlete to take home first place as the junior won the women's 5000 meter with a time of 17:24.68.
 
The Bulldogs will return to action on Friday at the Mississippi State-hosted Maroon and White Invitational.
