SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference released its 2026 conference football schedule on Thursday.
 
Samford will open Southern Conference play on Sept. 12, playing at new SoCon member Tennessee Tech. The Bulldogs will then host VMI on Sept. 26. Samford's next SoCon game will be at Chattanooga on Oct. 10.
 
On Oct. 17, Samford will host Mercer, followed by a road game at Furman on Oct. 24. Samford will then host Wofford on Oct. 31.
 
Samford will play at ETSU on Nov. 7. The Bulldogs will wrap up SoCon play by hosting Western Carolina on Nov. 14.
 
Samford will begin a new era in the 2026 season as veteran coach John Grass was named the program's new head coach earlier this month.
