BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford track and field program will be represented on the national scene this week as
Bradley Franklin qualified for the men's 110-meter hurdles. The event is hosted in Eugene, Oregon on the campus of the University of Oregon.
Franklin continues his stellar freshman campaign as he captured the indoor Southern Conference championship in the 60-meter hurdles and qualified for nationals. He broke the school and SoCon record as he won the SoCon 110-meter hurdles title and now will compete in the Outdoor NCAA Championship after finishing fifth with a time of 13.46 at the East Region.
The 110-meter hurdles are scheduled to begin at 7:08 p.m. with Franklin slated to run in heat two of the three scheduled. The top two runners from each heat will automatically advance to the finals with the next three fastest times also advancing to the finals on Friday night.
