TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Samford men's and women's cross-country teams competed in the Crimson Classic, hosted by the University of Alabama, Friday morning.

The women's team placed 11^th with 313 points, while the men's team came in 13^th with 309 points.

For the women's team, Felicity Hamilton placed 24^th out of 184 runners in the 6K race with a time of 20:51.4. Josie Hutchinson finished 69^th, running the race in 21:54.6, while Isabella Edwards came in 84^th with a time of 22:08.2

Bela Doss placed 91^st with a time of 22:15.5, while Marlo Hibler came in 116^th at 22:41.1. Nora Brahim finished 168^th with a time of 24:07.6, while Abi Cobb placed 178^th at 24:55.2.

The men's team was led in its 8K race by William Jordan, placing 51^st out of 126 runners with a time of 25:34.8. Crew McDaniel finished 65^th at 25:56.2, while Loden Kohrman placed 71^st with a time of 26:01.0. Arthur Langley came in 88^th, running the race in 26:26.0.

Shawn Stephenson placed 90^th at 26:29.1, while Stephen Jones came in 103^rd with a time of 26:57.7. Whit Thornton placed 116^th at 27:46.6, while William Murray finished 118^th with a time of 27:53.8.

Samford will next compete in the Southern Conference Championships, scheduled for Oct. 31 in Tryon, N.C.
