Franklin Finishes Second Nationally In 60-Meter Hurdles

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Samford sophomore Bradley Franklin finished second in the nation in the men's 60-meter hurdles at the 2026 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday at the University of Arkansas.
In Friday night's preliminary round, Franklin won his heat with a time of 7.42 seconds, qualifying for Saturday's finals. In Saturday's championship, Franklin ran the hurdles in 7.43 seconds, just behind Auburn's Ja'Kobe Tharp, who posted a time of 7.32 seconds.
By finishing second, Franklin earns first team All-America honors in the 60-meter hurdles. The meet wraps up an impressive indoor season for Franklin.
Franklin qualified for the NCAA Championships with his tremendous performance at the Southern Conference Indoor Championships in February. In that race, he ran what was at the time the fastest time in the nation in the 60-meter hurdles of 7.41 seconds to win the SoCon title for a second-straight season. He also won the SoCon championship in the 60-meter run.
