2014 (Sophomore): Indoor: Competed in five meets…ran a personal best 4:08.29 in the mile at the Auburn Indoor Invitational on January 18…ran a personal best 8:26.34 in the 3,000 meters at the Samford Multi & Invitational on February 7…ran a season best 15:30.32 in the 5,000 meters at the UAB Blazer Invitational on January 10…Outdoor: Competed in nine meets…ran a personal best 1:50.76 in the 800 meters at the Alabama vs. Mississippi Border Clash on April 11…notched a personal best 3:44.89 in the 1,500 meters at the Georgia Tech Invitational to qualify for the NCAA regionals…posted a season best 8:30.94 in the 3,000 meters at the Battle of I-65 on March 15…tallied a personal best time of 15:30.29 in the 5,000 meters at the SoCon Outdoor Championships on April 27.

2013 (Freshman): Indoor: Competed in four meets … placed sixth in the 800 meters at the SoCon Championships (1:55.49) … set a new personal best in the 800 meters in the SoCon Championship prelim round, running 1:55.00, which ranks second all-time at Samford … set a PR in the mile run at the Samford Multi, moving to third all-time at Samford with a time of 4:13.91 … ran third leg on the second-place distance medley relay at the SoCon Championships (10:06.61).  Outdoor: Competed in six meets … earned a spot on the podium at the SoCon Championships with a third-place finish in the 1,500 meters (3:53.86), which ranks fifth all-time at Samford … ran lead leg on the distance medley relay at the Bama Relays that set a school record in 9:57.99 … set personal bests in the 800 (1:52.69) and 5,000 meters (14:52.07).

High School: Attended Columbus High School … six-time individual regional champion … placed fifth at the state cross country meet his junior and senior seasons … earned top ten finishes in the state meet in the 1,600 and 3,200 meters, including runner-up finishes in both during his senior season … holds school records in the 800 (1:54) and 1,600 meters (4:15)

Personal: Born March 11, 1994 … Son of Will and Merrie Kay Jones … has one sister, Robyn, and one brother, Justin Weed … majoring in mass communication and video production.
