2021 Outdoor: Competed in six outdoor meets for the Bulldogs in her graduate season...Had a myriad of medal performances in 2021 including. apersonal best in the 2000-meter steeplechase at the first outdoor meet of the season crossing the line in 6:45.99...Won the 1500-meter run at the UAB Spring Invite with a time of 4:28.19 just over a second off her personal best...At the SoCon Outdoor Championships Garner earned points for the Bulldogs in both events she competed in taking the silver in the women's 5000-meter run (17:18.45) and earning the individual championship in the 3000-meter steeplechase (10:54.35).
Junior (2016) - Competed in four meets for the Bulldogs...ran a personal best, 16:53.4, in the 5k at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival in Fayetteville, AR and placed 12th overall...earned All-Socon First Team honors and 4th overall in the 5k at the Southern Conference Championships with a time of 16:55.50... ran a personal best, 20:42.20, in the 6k at the NCAA South Regionals and placed 14th overall.
Sophomore (2015) – Competed in six meets for the Bulldogs…posted a personal record time of 11:24.4 at the Samford Tri-Meet on Sept. 1, and placed 6th overall in the 2-Mile event…ran a season best 18:24.2 in the 5k of her next race at the Commodore Classic on Sept. 19, and placed 80th overall…recorded her highest finish of the season at the Southern Conference Championships when she placed 10th overall with a time of 18:54.2 in the 5k race…competed at the NCAA South Regionals and finished with a personal record time of 21:54.98 and finish 72nd overall.
Freshman (2014): Competed in six meets…ran a season best 18:18.10 in the 5K at the Southern Conference Championships and placed 24th overall…ran a 23:23.00 in a 6K at the Charlotte Invitational on Sept. 26…participated in the NCAA Division I South Region Cross Country Championships and ran a time of 22:11.40 in the 5.875K event.
High School: Prepped at Opelika High School for head coach Ben MacIntosh…received AHSAA All-State honors…brings in a personal best time of 2:15.00 in the 800 meters.
Personal: Full name is Emma Grace Garner…born on July 12…daughter of Trip and Tamera Garner…has one brother, Ben and one sister, Addie…majoring in pre-physical therapy.
