High School: Was named the Most Valuable Defensive Player at Hazel Green High School in 2012 . . . also won the program’s Iron Man Award in both 2013 and 2014 . . . served as a team captain and was named permanent team captain as a senior in 2015, and he was named 7A honorable mention All-Region in 2014 . . . won the Nick Saban Award for the top performance at football camp in 2011, 2012 and 2013 . . . earned National Underclassman Combine MVP and Rising Star honors in 2014.
