2021 Indoor & Outdoor: Competed in 10 meets for the Bulldogs, four indoor and six outdoor...Had a personal best performance at the UAB Vulcan Invite in the mile run (4:11.69)...Set a school record in the 800-meter run at Samford's Bulldog Invite with a time of 1:49.14...Scored points for the Bulldogs in three events at the SoCon Indoor Championships winning the individual SoCon title in the 800-meter run (1:49.77), finishing sixth on the 4x400-meter relay, and taking the silver in the distance medley relay...At the SoCon Outdoor Championships Peñalver claimed the bronze in the 800-meter run and went on to compete the event at the NCAA East Preliminaries finishing with a time of 1:50.08.
2020 Cross Country: Competed in both meets for the Bulldogs during the condensed 2020 season which was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic...Had a season best time at the Mercer Invite completing the eight-kilometer course in 27:52.0.
Previous College: Transferred to Samford University from St. Augustine’s University and St. Thomas University… Received the 2018 MVP Award…2019 All-American… 800m Conference Champion.
High School: Prepped at American Heritage School in Plantation, FL...2017
800m State Runner Up...3rd Place at Florida Pepsi Relays.
