The Pat M. Courington Tennis Pavilion was completed in 2006 with three indoor courts, a support facility for locker rooms, offices and restrooms. Samford's Tennis Center also includes the Darwin C. Hardison Courts, featuring six outdoor NCAA courts. Samford's nationally-recognized men's and women's tennis programs both practice at compete at the Samford Tennis Center.
The Bulldogs' state-of-the-art facility has also played host to the 2010 Women's Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Southeast Regional Championships as well as to participants in the 2009 Davis Cup as Birmingham's primary practice facility.
