Andrew Swinney enters his first season as an assistant football coach at Samford.
 
Swinney comes to Samford after spending the last two seasons as a player development/assistant wide receivers coach at Clemson. In that role he assisted the offensive coaches in developing the wide receivers and identifying coverages in game.
 
In the 2023 season, Swinney, the son of Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney, worked as a graduate assistant at Clemson. In that role, he served as an assistant to the offensive coaches and he was in charge of the scout team and coverage identification.
 
Additionally, for the last 10 seasons, Swinney has served as a camp counselor at the Dabo Swinney Football Camps.
 
Swinney earned his B.S. degree in marketing from Clemson in 2022. He also earned an MBA from Clemson in 2023.
