Peyton Mattingly joined the Samford men's basketball staff prior to the 2025-26 season as Director of Basketball Operations.
Mattingly spent the past two seasons on staff at Lipscomb with coach Lennie Acuff in the role of Video Coordinator / Director of Basketball Operations after starting as the head student manager for four seasons with the Bisons. In his two season in an elevated role on the staff, the Bisons had two 20-win seasons asn are coming off ASUN regular season and tournament titles as they earned a 14-seed in the NCAA Tournament in the 2024-25 season.
He graduated with a degree in Sports Management from Lipscomb.
