Will Acuff is in his first season as Assistant Coach at Samford University, joining prior to the 2025-26 season.
Acuff spent last season as an Assistant Coach at NCAA Division II Montevallo. Prior to his season with the Falcons, Acuff served as an Assistant Coach and Director of Operations at Lipscomb beginning in 2021. He served as head coach at Randolph School in Huntsville, Ala, during the 2022-23 season, doubling the teams win total from the previous year.Â
Will is a 2021 graduate of The University of Alabama in Huntsville where he was a four-year letterman on the Charger baseball team. He was a member of the 2021 squad that participated in the NCAA South Regional Tournament. Acuff graduated from Madison Academy in 2016 where he was part of two state championship baseball teams and was named to the All-State Tournament and All-Region Teams in both his junior and senior years. He was also a member of three consecutive state championship basketball teams and earned All-State honors in both his junior and senior seasons.Â
He graduated from UAH with a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management in Kinesiology.
