Wyatt Barnes is an Assistant Athletic Trainer for football at Samford University, where he provides comprehensive healthcare services to student-athletes, including injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play management.
Barnes earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a Master of Athletic Training from Arkansas State University. He has gained experience at both the professional and collegiate levels through a summer athletic training internship with the New York Jets, followed by an athletic training internship with Appalachian State football during the 2024 season and an athletic training internship with Georgia football during the 2025 season.
Outside of athletics, Barnes enjoys spending time outdoors, hanging out with friends, and spending time with their dog. He and his wife, Katie, reside in the Birmingham area.
