Baseball is traditionally one of the strongest sports in the Southern Conference, and Samford has consistently finished near the top of the league standings.
Samford has won three Southern Conference Tournament titles in 2012, 2018 and 2021, earning NCAA Regional bids each of those seasons. The Bulldogs also won the SoCon regular season title in 2019.
The 2021 SoCon Tournament was one of the most exciting to date, as Samford went 3-0 on its way to the title, earning two of those wins on walk-off home runs. The SoCon Tournament is played at the picturesque Fluor Field in downtown Greenville, S.C., and is consistently one of the most entertaining college baseball tournaments in the country.
The baseball facilities at each SoCon school are impressive. Consistently, week-in and week-out Samford plays in front of large crowds both at home and on the road. These atmospheres lead to an exciting experience playing in the Southern Conference each weekend.
