BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Samford senior Clarissa Clark was named to the Lady Blazer Classic All-Tournament team on Saturday along with Birmingham-Southern's Lindsay Boyett, Austin Peay's Brooke Armistead, UAB's Natasha Thomas and MVP Deanna Jackson.

Clark scored 17 points against UAB and Birmingham-Southern to pace the Bulldogs in each game. She went 6-9 from three-point range and was 13-25 from the floor in the two games. Clark also added six rebounds and two of assists averaging 28 minutes per game.

Clark is averaging 11.1 points per game and is shooting 52.3 percent from three-point range for the season.

Despite Clark's solid play the Bulldogs dropped both games at the Lady Blazer Classic and have a 1-7 overall record. Samford will return home to Seibert Hall for the first time since Nov. 27, to meet Alabama State on Saturday Dec. 29 at 2 p.m.
