Samford enters the Hoosier Classic having never faced any of its opponents. Samford's schedule included six opponents it has never faced before, and the Bulldogs are 1-2 in those games so far (W- Loyola Marymount, L-Georgia and L-Illinois State). SU is averaging 62 points per game, while Butler is scoring 75 points per game. Both teams are good shooting teams, Samford averaging 48 percent from the field, including 36.5 percent from the free throw line. Butler shoots 46 percent in field goal percentage and 41 percent from the three-point line. The Bulldogs are on a three-game win streak, as they defeated Florida Atlantic (68-66, OT), UCF (59-58) and Morehead State (62-50) in five days last week. Samford is 3-3 in non-conference games this season, but only 1-3 in non-conference games away from Birmingham. The Bulldogs have also won five of their last six games and two of the last three road games.
