TUSCALOOSA - Heidi Sauers posted a record-setting performance for Samford, finishing third in the women's hepathalon at the Alabama Relays at the University of Alabama on Friday.

Sauers began day two of the relays fourth in the events, but performed well on Friday to finish third with the following times: 100m low hurdles - 14.43, high jump - 1.56m, 200 meters - 25.37, long jump - 5.51m, javelin throw - 33.46m, 800 meters - 2:27.12, and shot put - 10.48m
