JACKSONVILLE, Ala.-- Jacksonville State took the doubles points and then split the six singles matches to take a hard faught victory over Samford in Atlantic Sun women's tennis action on Tuesday.
Samford recorded singles victories at number three, five, six. Emily Nunnally remained perfect on the season with a 7-5, 6-3 win at number three. Nunnally is 5-0 on the young season. Jennifer Pharr and Kristen Upp also grabbed straight-set victories.
The Bulldogs are now 3-2 on the season and 0-1 in the A-Sun. Samford will try to rebound against Birmingham-Southern on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
