BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Samford's weekend baseball series with Stetson has been moved up due to the possible threat of rain. A doubleheader will be played Friday beginning at 5 p.m. with a single game scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Joe Lee Griffin Field.

The Bulldogs (11-8) enter the Atlantic Sun Conference Series after sweeping UT-Martin 24-3 and 2-1 Wednesday. Stetson (18-2), ranked 25th in the latest Collegiate Baseball poll, swept Navy in two mid-week games, 6-3 and 10-7.

Junior right-hander Frank Allen Yeilding (2.63, 3-1) will start on the mound for the Bulldogs in game one and sophomore left-hander Derek Tharpe (4.76, 3-2) will follow in game two.

The Hatters will counter with right-hander Brian Sullivan (3.31, 3-0) in game one Friday and left-hander Mike Wiley (4-0, 4.41) in game two.
