MACON, Ga. - MACON, Ga.-Both the Samford men's and women's tennis teams dropped their first round matches at the Atlantic Sun Championships at the John Drew Smith Tennis Center in Macon. The #8 seeded Jacksonville Dolphins defeated the #9 seeded Bulldog men 4-3. JU improved to 13-11 while Samford dropped to 11-14. Jacksonville will play #1 UCF Friday at 12:00 pm. The #9 seeded Belmont women defeated the #8 seeded Bulldogs 4-2. Belmont improves to 14-5 overall while Samford, seeded #8, drops to 13-12. Belmont advances to play #1 UCF at 11:30 am Friday.
