Samford hired Terri Sisk as its women's tennis coach, athletic director Bob Roller announced Thursday.
Sisk is the first coach to handle the women's program exclusively.
"I am very excited to be taking over the program," said Sisk, who was an assistant coach at Samford in 2000. "We want to bring Samford women's tennis to the next level. We have a great group of girls who have much to offer to the University, on and off the court."
Sisk inherits a team that went 13-12 overall and 2-5 in the Atlantic Sun Conference in 2002. The Bulldogs return four of the top six singles players from a 2002 squad that finished 8th in the A-Sun.
Sisk had been the head tennis professional at Sportfirst Greystone since 2001. She is a 1997 graduate of Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Ala.
