HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Samford finished 13th out of 15 teams at the Sam H. Hall Intercollegiate men's golf tournament. The Bulldogs next tournament is March 24-25 at Butler University.
The Bulldogs shot 312-299-314= 925 for the tournament. Seth Mobley led the Bulldogs and finished in 39th place, shooting 77-73-75=225. Andy McRae was 42nd (78-70-79=227). Ryan Mayberry finished with a 79-78-78=235, good for 63rd place. Louis South II was 71st with a score of 78-78-83=239. Bradley Farmer shot 82-78-82=242, and finished in 74th.
Southern Miss's Shane Rushing took home medalist honors after shooting an 11-under 205 (66-71-68) in the Sam H. Hall Intercollegiate Tournament, held at the Hattiesburg Country Club. Southeastern Louisiana (285-277-290 -- 852) also held on to its leader position, finishing two strokes ahead of McNeese State (278-293-283 -- 854) and five strokes ahead of Wichita State (291-279-287 -- 857) and Southern Miss (284-287-286 -- 857).
Samford next plays in the Butler Invitational over Spring Break, March 24-25.
