The Lady Mocs added one more run to the total when Teri Herbert reached first on a throwing error by third baseman Bridgett Smith. Hebert advanced to third on back-to-back sacrifices and scored on a two-out single by Ramirez.

Senior Deanna Resmondo put Samford on the board (5-1) in the top of the fifth with a solo shot down the left field line. The homer was her second of the season and improved her hitting streak to four games.

Ramirez got her fourth hit of the game with a two out double to score Herbert in the bottom of the sixth inning and make the score 6-1. Landsburg then walked one and allowed a single to load the bases but struck out Paige Cochrane to get herself out of the inning.
