Samford University's men's tennis team never got on track Wednesday, and lost 7-0 to Southeastern Louisiana.
Raphael Bohli and Manuel Miletic defeated Josh Smith and Eric Subirats at No. 2 doubles, 8-6. But that was the only match of the day the Bulldogs would win. Miletic put up a valiant effort against Frenchman Oliver Nussbaum at No. 2 singles, battling back from a set down to force a super tie-break.
The Bulldogs suffered a blow when James Bryce, scheduled to compete at No. 5 singles, was scratched from the lineup after doubles. Travis Johnson stepped in at No. 6 and Andres Leal competed in the No. 5 position.
Samford (3-9) continues its season Friday, hosting Eastern Illinois at 3 p.m. The Bulldogs travel to Georgia State for an Atlantic Sun Conference match Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
