BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - This week's Southeastern Temperature Controls Samford Student-Athlete of the Week is freshman Jerry Smith. Smith scored 13 points and dished out four assists while grabbing three rebounds against Tennessee-Temple in an 85-50 Samford victory.

Against Covenant College the Picayune, Miss. native dished out eight assists and pulled down three rebounds in the Bulldogs 95-54 rout of the Scots.
