BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -
The Samford football team practiced for an hour and a half at the practice fields on the Samford campus Wednesday afternoon in preparation for Saturday's Homecoming game against Tennessee Tech.
"We had good work today," Samford head coach Bill Gray. "They (Tennessee Tech) do a lot on offense and with their special teams, so there is a lot of assignment responsibility this week. This was as much a mental day as anything.
"We got a couple of people back on the practice field we didn't have last week, so that helped us a little," Gray said. "I thought we had good work today, and we will try to put in another good day tomorrow."
The Bulldogs will practice again Thursday afternoon, beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the practice fields. The team's final walk-through for the game will be Friday afternoon at 4:15 p.m. at Seibert Stadium.
Samford and Tennessee Tech are scheduled to kickoff at 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon at Seibert Stadium. The game can be heard locally on WVSU-FM 91.1, or worldwide on the internet at www.samfordsports.com. The game will also be televised on a tape-delay basis by ACN Sports. The broadcast can be seen on WOTM-TV in Birmingham at 3:00 p.m. Sunday and at 10:30 p.m. Monday.
