MOREHEAD, Ky. - The Samford volleyball team (4-10, 2-3 OVC) fell to Morehead State, 3-1 on Friday evening at Wetherby Gym in Morehead, Ky. Match scores were as follows: 30-22, 25-30, 30-18, 30-12. Leader for the Bulldogs was Hilary Gary (12K-6E-52TA-.115Pct.)

Morehead State took the first game, 30-22 and dominated with a total of 20 kills, eight errors and 49 total attacks with an attack percentage of .245. The Bulldogs recorded 9 kills, three errors and 27 total attacks with a game-high attack percentage of .222.

The Bulldogs came back in game two and finished with the victory, 30-25. Samford recorded 11kills, five errors and 42 total attacks with an attack percentage of .143.

The Eagles captured the third game and finished with the win, 30-18. Morehead State recorded 18 kills, four errors and 44 total attacks with an attack percentage of .318, while the Bulldogs posted eight kills, six errors and 41 total attacks with an attack percentage of .049.

Morehead State finished with the match win, after dominating the fourth game with a final score of 30-12. The Eagles recorded 21 kills, three errors and 38 total attacks with a game-high attack percentage of .474. <>

The Bulldogs will battle Eastern Kentucky on Saturday, Oct. 9 at McBrayer Arena in Richmond, Ky. Match time is set for 1 p.m. EST.
