The Samford University women's basketball team will play host to the Austin Peay Lady Govs in Seibert Hall Thursday night.
Samford comes into the game with a record of 9-14 overall and 2-10 in the OVC after winning at Morehead State, 65-55, on Saturday. Austin Peay is currently 17-6 overall and 11-1 in conference play after defeating Murray State, 80-70, on Saturday.
Thursday night's game will mark the second all-time meeting between Samford and Austin Peay in women's basketball. The teams' first meeting came earlier this season on Feb. 7, when the Lady Govs defeated the Bulldogs, 54-43, in Clarksville, Tenn.
Alex Munday is currently leading Samford in scoring (14.3 ppg.), and rebounding (6.0 rpg.). Cora Beth Smith leads the team in assists with 71 and steals with 26. Chelsee Insell leads in three-pointers made (54) and three-pointers attempted (115). She also leads the team in free throws made (49).
