LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -
The Samford men's golf team will participate in the Trojan Golf Classic, hosted by the University of Arkansas at Little Rock on Monday and Tuesday.
Samford head coach Woodie Eubanks said the Bulldogs are looking forward to playing in the tournament, which features some stiff competition.
"This is the best tournament we've played in all year," Eubanks said. "Five of the 14 teams in the tournament are ranked in the top 50 in the nation. This is the type of tournament I have wanted to get into since I've been here, and this will show us how good we are.
"We are going to have to play hard and play well to compete in this tournament," Eubanks said. "We are excited about playing in this type of tournament."
Samford's playing five for the tournament will be Ryan Mayberry, Reed Davis, Andy McRae, Bradley Farmer and Bradley Pate.
The tournament will be held at the Eagle Hill Golf and Athletic Club (7,300 yards, par-72), and will consist of 36 holes on Monday, and 18 holes on Tuesday.
